A Whirlwind Weekend of Community, Causes & Connection

Wow — this weekend was a jam-packed whirlwind in the very best way.
Nickola and I kicked things off by attending the Stone Crest Block Party to support fellow small businesses. We had so much fun checking out cute shops and offices, enjoying kettle corn, entering raffles, and soaking up the atmosphere. The businesses were wonderful hosts, and there were two different bands playing throughout the event — both were fantastic.
Friday evening, we sponsored the High Striker at Carnival of the Stars, a fundraiser benefiting a local elementary school. We helped little kids swing the mallet and show off their strength, and a few even rang the bell and won a teddy bear!
The best part is that the funds raised go directly to teachers to use in their classrooms.
We also helped run the dunk tank, where several teachers and a city council member were incredibly good sports as the kids dunked them over and over again. For a while, we weren’t even sure the dunk tank was going to happen because the fire department was called out to a fire and couldn’t fill the tank right away — but it all worked out in the end.
We also donated two cakes for the old-fashioned cake walk and a raffle basket filled with fall décor and a Sworn Loyal Tees hoodie.
Saturday morning, we were proud to support the 2nd Annual Walk to End Lupus Now, hosted by the Lupus Warriors of Idaho. We sold our custom lupus shirts and are donating a portion of the proceeds back to the lupus community here in Idaho. Being able to use our business to support causes like this is exactly the kind of work that means so much to us.
Later Saturday and all day Sunday, we set up our vendor booth at Art by the River, a local art fair featuring handmade goods and benefiting River of Hope, a local nonprofit.
We loved meeting some of our social media followers in person, showing off our hilarious tea towels, and reconnecting with friends we hadn’t seen in a long time. We were also so grateful to see the friends who continually show up and support our little business.
The other vendors were such a delight, too. One of our favorite parts of the weekend was meeting Gayle, the retro trailer that houses the Stardust Sips food truck. The drinks were delicious, and of course we couldn’t resist posing for a vintage photo with her.
By Sunday evening, we were tired — but incredibly grateful.
It was a long weekend, but it was also a smashing success. More than anything, we loved being together, meeting new people, supporting our community, and sharing another adventure as we continue building Sworn Loyal Tees.
Our goal has always been about more than selling shirts. We’re working toward building a business that allows us to give back in bigger and more meaningful ways.
This weekend felt like one more step in that direction.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported us, shared a laugh, bought a shirt or tea towel, or simply said hello. We appreciate you more than you know.
